Who We Are
Laura Chrusciak
Founder
Having begun her adult life working with her father in the family plant nursery, Laura decided it was time for a career change having had her first child. Following many months of rejections, Laura was fortunate enough to be offered an AAT training contract with a top 20 Accountancy firm, Kingston Smith. It was here that she gained her grounding in accountancy and audit.
Moving on to RSM Tenon, another large Accountancy firm, Laura was able to expand her knowledge of accountancy and audit and enter into the world of taxation as she was introduced to Corporation Tax and Self-Assessment taxes for sole traders and partnerships.
Over the next 10 years Laura spent time in industry to broaden her skillset and expose herself to the perspective of the client. It was during these valuable years that she really began to understand the importance of good accountancy and was able to become exposed to every aspect of her role from bookkeeping and payroll to financial consultancy.
Having trained in the corporate world, Laura recognises that clients prefer to work with someone that is personable and human. Whilst ensuring the highest level of professionalism, Laura makes it her goal to develop positive relationships with all her clients and genuinely cares about their business.
Laura has spent many years trying to learn piano and looks forward to having the time to move on from Elvis for beginners piano music!
Presley Hardiman
Director
In April 2022, Presley joined the family business and began her career in accounting, transferring over as an apprentice in Business Administration. After completing her apprenticeship and qualifying as a Business Administrator, she had the option to continue straight into her AAT accountancy training.
For now, however, Presley has chosen to put accountancy to one side to focus on her own path. She is currently building her venture, Hardiman Homes, a landlord agency she is developing with energy and ambition. Alongside this, she is also studying horticultur,drawing on her lifelong love of gardening.
Presley grew up surrounded by the world of tax returns and accountancy, watching Laura train nearly twenty years ago, and even helping her learn complex formulas by setting them to Hip-Hop rhythms. That influence remains with her, and the door to accountancy is still open when the time feels right.
Outside of work, Presley’s passions lie in music and the outdoors. Whenever she can, you’ll find her with her hands in the soil, cultivating her green fingers and continuing a family tradition that began generations ago.
